The Opportunity
Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for energy innovation? This business is looking for a District Heating Sales Specialist to lead their business development efforts in the growing district heating sector. In this high-impact role, you’ll identify and secure new opportunities, nurture key accounts, and drive strategic partnerships to deliver tailored temperature control solutions across planned projects, decarbonisation initiatives, and emergency response needs. With uncapped OTE potential exceeding £120k, your success will be recognised and richly rewarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a sales strategy tailored to district heating solutions, focusing on temporary and semi-permanent boiler hire.
- Collaborate with marketing to design compelling, customer-focused value propositions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including ESCOs, local authorities, housing associations, utilities, construction firms, and energy consultants.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from initial enquiry to proposal, negotiation, and final delivery.
- Create tailored proposals and accurate costings in partnership with our technical and operational teams.
- Secure long-term contracts and framework agreements with key clients.
- Stay ahead of market trends, sustainability targets, and regulatory developments impacting the district heating space.
- Conduct site assessments and design custom HVAC hire solutions that meet client needs.
- Consistently hit and exceed sales targets while contributing to broader business growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven B2B sales experience in the district heating or utilities sector.
- Demonstrated ability to engage C-suite stakeholders and navigate complex, mid-to-long sales cycles.
- Strong knowledge of heating systems, energy centres, and decarbonisation strategies.
- Commercially savvy with a consultative, structured approach to selling.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of thriving independently or within a team.
- Skilled in developing long-term, high-value client relationships.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel and participate in on-call rotations when necessary.
