  • Support Project Managers and Engineers in pricing contract variations following client processes and applicable contract rates.
  • Negotiate and review customer contracts/terms to minimise risk and identify commercial opportunities.
  • Negotiate, implement, and commercially manage contracts for subcontract packages, particularly in mechanical engineering projects.
  • Prepare and present monthly project cost reports, cash flow analysis, and resource forecasts.
  • Assist in unlocking aged debt and responding to financial audit queries.
  • Work with Procurement to secure favourable subcontractor and supplier terms, especially for mechanical components and systems.
  • Arrange and attend commercial meetings with clients to review variation quotes and payment queries.
  • Ensure mechanical equipment warranties are properly communicated to clients and internal teams.
  • Assist in risk assessments, design reviews, and procurement tasks where required.
  • Support project delivery beyond core responsibilities, contributing expertise to mechanical engineering and construction-related tasks.

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Project, and Word).

Familiarity with National Gas/National Grid or other UK regulated utility commercial processes.

Understanding of CDM Principal Contractor responsibilities in engineering or construction.

Experience with the design and build of Mechanical in hazardous areas.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems used in gas, renewables, or petrochemical industries.
