Overview
We’re looking for a capable and self-driven MEP Engineer to take ownership of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across a growing portfolio of infrastructure assets and modular solutions. The ideal candidate will manage a network of subcontractors, drive technical delivery across multiple UK sites, and support the development of proprietary modular systems and IP.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of MEP systems across our infrastructure—from design to installation to commissioning.
- Act as technical lead on MEP matters across multiple active sites.
- Scope, select, and manage subcontractors for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire systems.
- Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and interface with consultants and vendors.
- Work with internal teams to develop and standardise modular MEP systems and repeatable designs.
- Own MEP documentation, drawings, and technical standards for the business.
- Support development of IP related to power, cooling, and system integration in modular environments.
- Provide technical input on due diligence, site assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Troubleshoot system-level issues and ensure rapid resolution in the field.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline).
- Broad experience across all three MEP domains (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
- Strong understanding of data centre or industrial infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record managing subcontractors and technical delivery across multiple sites.
- Familiarity with modular/offsite construction and containerised systems a plus.
- Solid grasp of relevant UK standards and codes.
- Practical, delivery-focused mindset with hands-on approach.
- Willingness to travel across UK as needed.
Nice to Have
- Experience in clean energy, data centres, or critical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Revit/AutoCAD, thermal modelling tools, and power distribution design.
- Chartership or working towards CEng/MCIBSE/MIET.
