This is an exciting opportunity to join a library team engaged in delivering their vision for 2030: Knowledge for All. As Head of Research Services (Open Research), you will help lead on change for the institution through the development and embedding of open research practices across the University. You will lead and manage a team of staff and will be responsible for co-ordinating the following areas: research data management, funder compliance, and the expansion of open access. You will manage and establish relationships, partnerships, and collaborations across the faculties and professional services at the University of Leeds, as well as external to the institution. You will work closely with the Head of Research Services (Research Intelligence) to deliver seamless services to the research community, whilst leading separate but complimentary research services portfolios.
You will have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of open research principles and practices combined with experience of leading and developing a high-quality, user-focussed research service. You will possess strong leadership and people management skills and have the ability to establish and maintain broad-based, successful partnerships and networks.
