Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a leading global Mechanical Engineering Manufacturer. The successful candidate will focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts for mechanical handling related equipment such as conveyors, chains, sprockets, valves, lubrication, and similar products / systems across the Southwest and Southeast of the UK including London.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience selling mechanical handling products or technical mechanical engineering products / solutions within manufacturing, food, biomass waste / power generation or similar.

Role:

  • Develop new business opportunities and manage key accounts for mechanical handling related equipment.
  • Maintain mechanical handling product and system sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
  • Responsible for pre-sales technical assistance as well as providing end solution/application support for all customer needs/requirements.
  • Provide after-sales support services and technical backup as required to customers within various industries.
  • Work remotely/field-based covering Southwest and Southeast of the UK including London with regular visits to customer sites.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within a mechanical engineering environment.
  • Experience selling or managing key accounts for mechanical handling related equipment is highly desirable.
  • Candidates with proven sales experience in industries such as construction, mining, manufacturing, food, biomass waste/power generation are strongly advised to apply.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Willingness to operate remotely with travel to customer sites across the South of the UK, including London.
