Our client are specialists in their market sector, looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic, focused and committed team player with excellent communication skills to join our highly successful company. You should be familiar with working in a fast moving industrial manufacturing environment and ideally you will be from an industrial background and be prepared to work shifts, with some weekend work required as and when the business conditions dictate.
Experience of 3-phase and 12-24VDC electrical control systems is required. Responsibilities include:
- Building/assembling electrical control panels/switchgear from an empty enclosure to a complete tested panel accurately and effectively on time, on target cost and in line with our safety standards.
- Installation problem solving and commissioning, testing and inspection of final product.
- Covering both pre-planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and using initiative to improve and develop equipment and processes.
- Responding rapidly to breakdowns on production equipment, diagnosing and repairing or replacing control devices such as motors, contactors and control gear, sensors etc.
- Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
- Performing work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and technical drawings.
- Participating in plant health & safety and environmental programs.
- Working to PM schedules and recording results.
About You:
- Time Served Maintenance Electrician (Industrial Production environment).
- Understanding the scope and requirements of the panel design from wiring diagrams.
- Designing bespoke electrical systems.
- Previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics.
- Desirable: PLC Experience, Automation Experience, PC Skills, Exposure to Manufacturing Environment, Exposure to 6 Sigma and Lean Techniques.
