Due to increasing demand, we are looking for skilled interpreters and translators in various languages to join our network.
The Role: As a freelance interpreter, you will:
- Facilitate communication between non-English speakers and service providers.
- Interpret in settings such as courts, law firms, social services, and healthcare facilities.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and impartiality.
- Work on an ad-hoc basis with flexibility to accept assignments that suit your availability.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Pashto and English.
- Previous interpreting/translation experience (preferred).
- Valid/current Enhanced DBS check.
- Eligibility for self-employment in the UK.
- Two professional interpreting/translation references.
- Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to travel to on-site assignments.
- Internet access and email for remote assignments.
- Commitment to accurate, confidential, and impartial service.
- Preferably qualified under Legal Aid Agency guidelines.
