My client, a leading global bank in London are looking for a VP to join their Corporate Banking team in London. As a Vice President you will support senior Bankers, and will be accountable for ensuring excellence on all deliverables within Corporate Coverage. You will also co-ordinate junior colleagues. Key responsibilities • Support the Managing Director and Director in the origination, structuring and execution of transactions on clients. • Will manage own client relationships under supervision of a Managing Director • Depending on experience in the role will be responsible for either reviewing or undertaking a risk analysis on a portfolio of clients • Will support the presentation by more junior colleagues of this opinion to Risk colleagues • Lead presentation processes from start to finish • Participate in and where appropriate lead client meetings • Manage day to day execution of deal activity • Interact directly with clients and other advisors • Influence and supports members of Corporate Coverage by leading in decision making and approach where problems are more complex and require sophisticated analysis or experience. • Acts as a point of escalation for more junior staff. • Manages relationships with internal stakeholders independently, and co-ordinates the planning of work of junior colleagues Requirements • Professional qualification required with expert understanding of Corporate Coverage • Strong product awareness (especially in flow products). • In depth knowledge of processes within Corporate Coverage with advanced understanding of the end-to-end transaction process (including credit and documentation processes) • Strong product knowledge in both Corporate and Investment banking products. • Strong analytical skills • Excellent networking and relationship building skills • Excellent written and oral English skills • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail • Strong computer skills and a good knowledge of a range of standard computer software, e.g., Microsoft Office, email. Experience in using investment banking databases (e.g. Factset, Dealogic, Bloomberg).
