I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 main contractor in Plymouth, for an assistant site manager to join the team on a freelance basis. The project is an industrial and logistics warehouse, circa £5m in value, and for the suitable candidate there will be a minimum of 6 months of continuous freelance work.

As a company, my client is a top name within the industrial and logistics sector, with a huge amount of work on the park in the South West, so the possibility of continuous long term work is there.

Necessary qualifications:

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid at work

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience with industrial & logistics type projects is preferable. If not previously gained industrial & logistics experience, candidates from a commercial project background will be considered.
  • Previous steel frame experience will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of build processes, materials, and subcontractor management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency / experience in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
