About us:

VL Test Systems are the market leader in Commercial Vehicle Brake Testers and have been in the UK market since 1989. This is due to their attention to detail, uncompromising standards when it comes to equipment manufacture, extensive national servicing team as well as their longstanding working relationship with the DVSA. Key customers include Arriva, Volvo, Stagecoach as well as the MoD, for whom they install and service brake testers both in the UK and abroad.

The Role:

The main tasks will include working as part of a team to complete the installation and calibration of VLT equipment, removal and relocation of existing VLT equipment, customer training follow installation and calibration, commuting to customer sites which may include driving a company vehicle as well as assisting the Service team as when required. There will be a need to travel which may require nights away depending on working locations and length of time required on site to complete installation works.

Skills / Attributes:

The ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving skills as well as a practical mindset. They will be reliable, punctual as well as a good communicator with a strong work ethic. Previous experience in the garage equipment industry is desirable but not essential. They must be willing to learn about current equipment, undertake training when required and be able to stay up to date with both equipment and software updates.
