We are currently recruiting for an experienced and dynamic Cook to join us in our beautiful nursery in the heart of Bath. We are looking for someone who loves to cook and has the passion, enthusiasm and professional skills to plan, prepare and deliver menus that meet the nutritional standards for children's meals in the Early Years.
Guinea Lane is set in an architecturally beautiful building - St Marys Hall on Guinea Lane, in the heart of Bath. Conveniently located and within walking distance of Bath city centre and all its amenities. Our nursery is registered for 58 children aged 3 months - 5 years.
As a Chef within Guinea Lane Nursery, you will be responsible for:
- The sole management of the nursery kitchen, organising, preparing and delivering balanced, nutritious and enjoyable meals in accordance with the nursery menus, food policies and individual dietary requirements.
- Working unsupervised, and ensuring that the highest standards of health, safety and hygiene are maintained.
- Ensuring that the nutritional needs of the children are met and that Food Safety Regulations are complied with consistently.
In order to be successful in this Chef role, you should have:
- A minimum Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene - Essential
- Experience of working in a kitchen (in a similar field) in a time-sensitive and fast-paced way.
- Ability to work unsupervised and to take full responsibility for all the duties within the kitchen area.
It would be great if you have:
- Certificate in Food Preparation and Cookery.
