Guidant Global is partnering with a trusted Ministry of Defence client in the UK to find an experienced Security Vetting Support Officer. The officer will operate within a dynamic and enthusiastic environment, supporting the management of security-vetted personnel to work within the organisation. This role is critical to the business, ensuring the safe and secure handling of sensitive information.
The role of a Security Vetting Support Officer involves being the primary layer of security responsible for identifying and managing personnel risks. It is also essential to support the Personnel Security Manager in implementing the Vetting Strategy successfully. This job is an excellent opportunity to sharpen your skills in an innovative environment.
Responsibilities:- Support Recruitment in obtaining security clearances and checks for all new employees.
- Supporting with the management of confidential and complex vetting enquiries.
- Be point of contact for vetting issues/problems.
- Liaise with UKSV and other external agencies when appropriate.
- Work with external IT platform to obtain and update security clearances.
- Provide support to areas of Security Services.
- Lead on departmental projects for successful implementation to meet deadlines.
In addition, you will be required to support the Personnel Security Manager in the successful implementation of the Vetting Strategy. Your role will be diverse and fast-paced as you support the department and business in achieving its objectives and reducing risk to the organisation.

- Ability to work as part of a team and within the wider security department and able to work under pressure and prioritise work as required.
- Experienced on the use of electronic Vetting Databases and multi IT platforms.
- Able to act in the strictest of confidence with personal sensitive data - integrity is paramount.
- Must be able to obtain national security vetting and BPSS.
- Ability to challenge, negotiate and problem solve when required.
- Willingness to learn new standards and processes to apply best practice security.
