Main purpose of the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join us in this key role within our South Midlands region, in the South West, based from our office near Bristol, as part of the wider West Midlands region. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is already an established Technical Manager, however we would also consider an experienced Senior Technical Coordinator.
Reporting to the Technical Director; the successful candidate will be accountable for coordinating all design and utility information between external and internal stakeholders, ensuring that all approvals and utility quotes are obtained in a timely manner and that high quality and correct information is issued to other departments.
The postholder will also be responsible for the setting, monitoring and delivery of targets, production of accurate and timely reports for the business and developing a high performing team. They will challenge others to drive performance improvement without damaging confidence levels or performance output.

We are looking for a Technical Manager who will embody our Keepmoat values; a straightforward and skilled communicator, who is creative and experienced with generating new ideas within architectural and engineering functions. They will be passionate about the construction/development industry with strong experience within it. The postholder will be an established collaborative leader with the ability to build strong relationships through ability to work cross functionally to achieve successful outcomes and inspire, motivate, and develop team members. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years knowledge of the construction/development industry. They will have up to date knowledge of building legislation, experience of partnership agreements, along with understanding and working knowledge of planning issues and processes relevant to the role.
Education and Qualifications
They will possess either a degree in planning, or post graduate qualification with eligibility for Royal Town Planning Institute membership.
