An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Field Service Engineer to join a reputable company who are going through a strong period of growth. You will be recognised for your skills and experience but benefit from full in-house training on their products as well as realistic technical and career progression. You will be responsible for the maintenance and installation of a vast range of machinery used in many industries UK wide. The machinery spans simple stand-alone machines through complicated automated systems. You must be flexible as stay aways are required.
Your Role:
- Mechanical and electrical servicing and some installation of machinery
- Carry out service and breakdowns on packaging machinery
- UK wide coverage - stays away will be required
- Diagnose and repair faults on machinery
- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and emergency breakdown repairs on customer sites
- Assist with parts stock takes and identification
- Conduct site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) before commencing work
- Ensure compliance with customer site safety procedures
- Act as the first point of contact for customers regarding machine servicing and repairs
- Provide clear service reports and recommendations to customers on-site
You Will Have:
- Must be an experienced mechanical and electrical engineer
- Have some experience / knowledge of 3 phase induction motors
- Background as a maintenance / field service engineer / technician (or similar)
- Must be able to commute to nationwide areas and onsite - Head office is in Nelson Lancashire
- Must be flexible to stay away from home 2-3 days per week and be on call some evenings and weekends
