Our client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking a skilled Systems Compliance Engineer to join their dynamic Weapon Systems Design & Verification Department. This department is dedicated to maintaining and improving the integrity of weapon system architecture. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting evidence for verification and validation, working closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and reviewing technical documentation to assist with verification tasks.
  • Compiling evidence for system-level compliance.
  • Certification of the system is essential, and it requires generating verification documentation such as Design Verification Plans and Requirement Verification Modules.
  • Systems support other parallel programmes as required.
  • Depending on the candidate, this role could also include the management of System Engineering work packages.

What do you need?:

  • Understanding Systems Engineering procedures is crucial for modification development and verification.
  • The capability to create technical reports that are concise, organised, and thorough while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Working proactively and flexibly across multiple programs is essential, significantly when priorities can change quickly.
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, essential to working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and in building cohesion in the relationships between the Systems team and various interfacing teams.
  • Having knowledge of RTC and DOORS could be advantageous.

Key Technical competencies:

  • Demonstrate professional background in Systems Engineering, with a firm grasp of CADMID and V-lifecycles.
  • Technical solid competency – proven experience in understanding and resolving technical issues & communicating technical detail at the level appropriate for the audience.

Key candidate characteristics:

  • The ability to adapt to shifting priorities and handle competing requests.
  • Proactive nature and can work with a degree of autonomy.
