Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are excited to now be offering a flexible temporary opportunity for an experienced delivery Van Driver for our client in Bridport. As part of this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of goods in the local area. 8-12 drops is the typical amount per day.
Position: Van Driver (Category B)
Days: Monday - Sunday (flexible)
Start date: ASAP
Location: Bridport
Pay Rate: £13.68 (daytime) - £15.69 (weekends). Holiday Pay Advanced.
The successful Van Driver will have:
- Experience in delivering using 3.5t vehicles
- A valid UK Category B driving licence (max. 6 penalty points)
- Physical fitness and familiarity with loading and unloading in a safe manner
- Own reliable transport to travel to work
- Good customer service skills
Responsibilities:
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle
- Load and unload goods from the van, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Safely operate our clients' vans to deliver goods
