Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are now offering an exciting temporary opportunity for experienced HGV Class 1 Night Drivers for our client in Bournemouth. As part of this, you will need to complete deliveries in an HGV curtain-sider. Unloading will be completed with a pallet truck or by the customer at the delivery site. Night shifts are usually a single drop at a pallet hub in the midlands.
Position: HGV Class 1 Night Driver
Days: Monday-Friday (flexible)
Start time: 18:00
Start date: ASAP
Location: Bournemouth
Pay Rate: £19.61-£20.73. £25 night-out allowance (for tramping work). Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay.
As a HGV Driver you MUST have:
- a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
- a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial experience
- a valid UK Class 1 driving licence
- no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)
- your own transport to get to and from work
As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
- Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
