We are currently seeking multiple Vehicle Checkers to join our team in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients delivery processes.

The role involves checking delivery driver vehicles for basic roadworthiness (tyres, field of view etc), MOT & Tax ., We are seeking an operative to undertake very basic vehicle checks on our clients site. you will be realised based upon your living location and will visit 1 site per day each week within your region.

You are required to make your own way to and from the site.

Each day is 7 hours work with 1 x 30 minute unpaid lunch break (7.30 hrs at site per day, in one continuous session)

Hours are anticipated to be within the 8am to 6pm range dependant on site

You may be required to have own mobile phone – to down load the vehicle checking app to and work from throughout the day. This has been considered in the rate of pay offered. this element is still under discussion and may not be required – the money will remain the same regardless.

Duties:

  • Check vehicles against a pre populated check (app based)

  • Effective communication with Delivery Drivers and Site partners

  • Achieving realistic daily KPI’s for numbers of checks completed

Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and drivers effectively

  • Experience of basic mobile phone based app use

  • Ability to travel to 1 site per day within your allocated region ( as per pre populated schedule)

  • Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance would be nice, however the basic checks can be trained to someone with the right attitude, aptitude and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work on own and problem solve effectively
