We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our schools in Southampton! At our schools, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all learners, and we are now seeking a passionate individual to help support our students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Key Responsibilities: * Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND in the classroom. * Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailor activities to meet the specific needs of students. * Support students in overcoming challenges, ensuring they achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. * Collaborate with the class teacher and other support staff to plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities. * Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence among students. * Help with personal care, where required, for students with more complex needs. * Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for each child. The Ideal Candidate: * Experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting (although not essential, this is desirable). * A patient, empathetic, and compassionate approach to supporting children with additional needs. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. * A positive attitude towards promoting inclusivity and diversity in education. * A commitment to continuous professional development and supporting the school’s ethos.
