<p><strong>Authorised Person – Electrical</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Location:</strong> <strong>RG7 4PR</strong>, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with <strong>free onsite parking</strong>. Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston.</p><p><strong>Package: &pound;37,860 – &pound;49,000</strong> (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)</p><p><strong>Working pattern: </strong>AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider <strong>flexible working requests</strong> so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Let us introduce the role</strong></p><p>AWE is currently recruiting for an Authorised Person (Electrical) to provide engineering safety services in support of operational and capital requirements. This will include exercising and advising electrical safety practices in accordance with the AWE Engineering Safety Management System to enable safe delivery of the crucial work we do at AWE.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Here's a look at what you'll be responsible for:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Advise and undertake plant shutdowns and isolations</p></li><li><p>Ensure baseline configuration related to safety</p></li><li><p>Provide supervision of nominated and instructed persons undertaking electrical safety work</p></li><li><p>Apply technical knowledge for engineered systems and structures</p></li><li><p>Interpret and deliver requirements from the order book which may include troubleshooting, quoting, reporting, design, commissioning and handover as required</p></li><li><p>Identify and escalate business risk where applicable to plant and engineered systems</p></li><li><p>Make evidence-based engineering decisions to solve technical problems</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:</strong></p><ul><li><p>A recognised Electrical Engineering-related qualification (ONC/OND/HNC/Level 4 RFQ etc)</p></li><li><p>Knowledge and experience of electrical safety engineering safety legislation and regulations</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to deliver across industrial/manufacturing/research environment incorporating infrastructure facilities, plant and equipment</p></li><li><p>Experience of delivering facilities engineering and maintenance services across the life of an asset</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Some reasons we think you'll love it here: </strong></p><p>AWE has wide range of benefits to suit you.
