Nursery Assistant

Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic and caring Nursery Assistants to join our lovely, local preschool establishments. The ideal candidates will have a genuine love for working with children and a desire to contribute to their growth and development.

As a Nursery Assistant, you will:

• Assist in the planning and implementation of activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
• Support children with their daily routines, including meals, naps, and toileting.
• Maintain a clean and organised environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.

About you:

• Candidates should be nurturing, caring and patient.
• Have fantastic communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work well within a team.

Location – Southampton

Position – Nursery Assistant

Contract or position start date – ASAP

Duration – Permanent/ Temporary (multiple positions available)

Full time/part-time – Full time/ part-time (multiple positions available)

Hours – Variable

Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:

• Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
• Level 2 or 3 qualifications in Early Years Education or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring and patient nature.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

• Hold right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide references upon request.
• Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this).
