We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our dedicated kitchen team, working collaboratively to serve freshly prepared meals to our Reading-based colleagues and on-site visitors. Your efforts will support our multi-drop drivers and warehouse operatives who play a critical role in preparing and delivering high-quality refrigerated food items to a variety of establishments, including restaurants, pubs, hospitals, schools, care homes, and universities.
To join us as our new Catering Assistant you will have previous cooking and food handling experience in a fast-paced, time-pressured environment. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills and awareness of food hygiene. Experience in cash handling and till operation would be advantageous but is not essential; what’s key is your ability and desire to learn - understanding the business and the way around our commercial kitchen quickly.
