Are you an experienced Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-established private planning consultancy based in Bedford, is seeking a Senior or Principal Town Planner to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified planner with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience to play a key role in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The Role: As a Senior/Principal Planner, you will be involved in a broad range of planning consultancy services, including:

  • Preparing planning appraisals for development sites
  • Submitting pre-application enquiries and full planning applications
  • Managing listed building consent applications
  • Preparing and submitting planning appeals
  • Drafting representations to Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plan consultations

This is a varied role that will suit a proactive and commercially minded planner who enjoys working on diverse projects across sectors.

About You:

  • MRTPI qualified (or working towards)
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification planning experience
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Private sector or consultancy experience preferred, but not essential
