Are you a furniture designer with CAD experience or a CAD design technician with knowledge of furniture design? Then this is the job for you!
Whether you have years of experience or have recently qualified or graduated, we want to hear from you. The full spectrum of experience can be taken into consideration as the right person for the team and the business is paramount to this role.
All exposure to 2D and 3D CAD packages will be considered, and all backgrounds will be taken into consideration. Those with experience designing products for manufacture or furniture for manufacture will be highly desired, although all industry experience will be taken into consideration.
The role is a design for mass manufacture function. You must liaise with all members of the team and other internal departments, as well as dealing with suppliers and customers as required. The products manufactured use a range of sheet metals which will be hard machined, pressed, and assembled.
Based within a fast-paced design department, you will be responsible for new product developments, design improvements, and generating manufacturing drawings. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that has a platform for significant growth. Candidate Requirements:
- CAD design background / furniture design background with CAD knowledge
- Must have experience of both 2D and 3D design; SolidWorks ideal but all experience considered
- Happy to work onsite Monday to Friday (not a remote working role)
- Up to one day per week WFH and flexible hours can be negotiated for the right person, only if essential
