We’re looking for an Electrical Testing Engineer to join a specialist team focused on electrical compliance and energised testing. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to enhance their skills in testing live systems, with structured training and career development on offer.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out fixed wire testing (EICR) to assess the safety and condition of electrical systems.
  • Performing static testing on electrical systems to ensure operational integrity.
  • Conducting ultrasonic testing, where required, to detect potential faults or inefficiencies.
  • Testing and inspecting electrical systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Performing safe isolation procedures and issuing condition reports.
  • Supporting the commissioning of electrical systems up to 1000V.
  • Interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings to complete tasks effectively.
  • Travelling to Hull approximately one day per week.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience in electrical testing, particularly within process plant environments.
  • Background in manufacturing or industrial sectors is essential.
  • 18th Edition and 2391 (or 2394/5) Inspection & Testing qualifications.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • Level 3 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience using thermal imaging test equipment would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
