Location: Solihull, B40 1AB

Shifts: Monday to Thursday 07.30 - 16.15, Friday 07.30 - 15.00

Salary: £30,000

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation based in Birmingham. Known for their strong focus on employee development and supportive workplace culture, they are seeking a dedicated HR Payroll Officer to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Process payroll data, including starters, leavers, and employee changes.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to both management and external bodies.
  • Handle payroll-related employee queries with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely salary payments, tax, and National Insurance deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records in line with company policies and audit standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of payroll procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR team to align payroll and HR systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience in payroll processing, ideally in a similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • CIPD or equivalent qualification in HR or Payroll (desirable).
