Responsibilities:
- Management of stock purchased.
- Direct liaising with suppliers.
- Travel to suppliers.
- Ensure quality & service are upheld.
- End to End Sourcing of livestock.
- Closely working with wider supply chain function.
- Upkeep of OTIF.
- Supplier reviews.
- Involved in Welfare & Sustainability policies.
- Work to regulatory, ethical & environmental standards and company and customer requirements.
- Market trends and data analytics.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other teams to ensure contracts are aligned with regulatory standards, company policies, and customer requirements.
- Source, onboard and maintain suppliers that meet quality, sustainability, and compliance requirements.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives when possible.
- Identify and assess potential risks within supply chain.
- Maintain a risk management structure to ensure continuity of supply.
Requirements:
- Livestock - Trading/Procurement/Buying/Purchasing/Commercial experience with the food industry.
