We’re recruiting for a Fire Stopping Supervisor on behalf of a growing specialist contractor delivering high-quality Passive Fire Protection (PFP) works across the commercial sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly established business with strong financial backing and a well-established sister company in the construction and refurbishment space. With a growing pipeline of projects across London and beyond, they are now looking for a confident, knowledgeable Supervisor to join their team and help shape the future of the PFP division.

The Role

The successful candidate will oversee fire stopping installations, ensuring high standards of compliance, workmanship, and safety across a variety of sites. Projects are predominantly commercial, including:

  • University buildings and student accommodation
  • Hospitals and healthcare environments
  • Heritage buildings
  • Residential blocks (private high/low-rise)

You will be expected to manage site operatives, liaise with clients and project managers, and maintain accurate records of works carried out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate fire stopping teams on live sites
  • Ensure installation works meet specifications, drawings, and third-party certification standards
  • Liaise with the office team, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Complete daily site reports, RAMS, and material records
  • Conduct quality checks and snagging prior to project handover
  • Ensure all operatives follow health and safety protocols

Candidate Requirements

  • Trade background in passive fire protection and proven experience supervising fire stopping works
  • Third-party accreditation knowledge (FIRAS, IFC, BM Trada, etc.)
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage site teams
  • Willingness to work away where required (accommodation and allowance provided)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
