A Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager is required to join a leading supplier of industrial automation solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for regular customer visits, developing sales and account managing existing accounts in the South of the UK. This role is hybrid based, covering Hampshire, Wiltshire, Surrey, and Dorset.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling a technical engineering product, preferably mechanical engineering products such as couplings, industrial gearboxes, actuators, bearings, power transmission, lubricants, fasteners, or similar mechanical engineering products. Full product training will be provided.

Requirements:
- Managing a number of key accounts via distribution channels and OEM customers within the mechanical engineering industry.
- Selling into industries such as marine, food & bev, oil & gas, power generation, water, and more.
- Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development selling mechanical engineering products.
- Maintaining new engineering product sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation in order to achieve targets.
- Working closely with the Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
- Experience as a Key Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, or similar with experience selling a technical engineering product.
- Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a global engineering manufacturer.
- A technical mechanical engineering qualification or degree is advantageous.
- Experience selling other mechanical engineering products into relevant industries and an aptitude for learning new products will also be strongly considered.
- Regular customer visits, developing sales and account managing existing accounts.
