HGV Class 2 Driver/ Highways Operative Industry: Civil Engineering Location: Isle of Wight Hours: 40 hours per week Days: Monday – Friday Duration: Immediate start, ongoing (may be temp to perm for the right candidate) Duties: Vehicle checks, basic maintenance, safe operation of plant. Collection and delivery of materials, unloading vehicle including use of barrow. Tarmacking, kerbing, concreting and general groundwork, when required. Adherence to technical specifications, schedules, standards and health & safety. Experience: Must have valid Category C Licence, CPC and commercial driving experience plus experience within civil engineering, construction or highways industry. Must be flexible with duties and happy to undertake manual handling tasks. Must be physically fit due to nature of duties. Must be able to work well as part of a team as well as own initiative. Please note at times there may be more time may be spent on manual duties than on driving duties.
