Role Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Administrator to support the commercial team in the successful delivery of major industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career within a high-performing commercial function. You'll play a key role in supporting commercial processes, managing documentation, and liaising with both internal teams and external partners to keep everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and management of project documentation, including contracts, variations, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all commercial and financial data.
  • Support the Quantity Surveying team with administrative tasks, such as compiling reports and processing invoices.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes, chase approvals, and track delivery schedules.
  • Organise and maintain digital and physical filing systems related to procurement, payments, and contracts.
  • Help with data entry for cost tracking and forecasting tools.
  • Attend project and commercial meetings, taking minutes and following up on actions when required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a commercial or administrative role within construction (ideally main contractor environment).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word); experience with COINS, Viewpoint, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to support the team across a range of duties.
