Job description About the Role: Fraser Edwards Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading contractor within the social housing sector to find an experienced Electrical QS. As the Electrical QS, you will manage the financial and contractual elements of electrical works within social housing projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and manage cost estimates for electrical works on social housing projects. * Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract specifications and safety regulations. * Develop tender documents and review contract terms. * Oversee subcontractor accounts and manage the procurement of electrical materials and services. * Maintain control over project budgets, track costs, and ensure efficient resource allocation. * Provide regular financial and cost reports to senior management and clients. * Ensure all financial aspects are properly documented and contribute to the final account process. * Collaborate closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Skills & Experience Required: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, particularly in electrical works (experience within the social housing sector is highly desirable). * Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and maintenance within social housing projects. * Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes. * Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. * Proficient in relevant software such as MS Office, or similar. * Degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or related field is preferred but not essential.
