This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring, dynamic and committed Lecturer who has relevant experience of supporting learners who have, up until now, not engaged in mainstream education. You will be creative, experienced and passionate about working with these students aged 14-16 and have the ability to engage and encourage students to participate and develop new skills in an exciting and motivating environment, this will include the delivery of Level 2 Maths and English. Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer in 14-16 Fresh Start Provision: Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed Undertaking and supporting the delivery of Functional Skills Maths, English, Personal Social Education (PSE) and/or ICT Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration Maths and English development and equality and diversity Participating in marketing activities and promote the College in a positive way for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment Participating in student reviews and other relevant meetings to manage the achievement and attendance of students Our ideal Lecturer in 14-16 Fresh Start Provision should have the below skills and experience: Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification Level 2 literacy and numeracy Relevant industrial/commercial/subject experience An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups Working knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies Working with challenging young people Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing Closing date: 13 January 2025 The Chichester College Group has seven colleges, Anglia Examinations, First Steps Childcare Group, Chichester English School and 2,600 staff spread across West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
