An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Egg Farm Production Manager or Poultry Stockperson to join a leading agricultural business in Shropshire. Renowned for their high welfare standards and premium free-range egg production, this forward-thinking operation is seeking a motivated individual to help manage daily production and flock welfare.

This is a well-established and highly respected food and farming business, known nationally for its commitment to animal welfare, sustainability, and efficiency. Operating to industry-leading standards, the business places great value on its people, its livestock, and the consistent quality of its produce.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of four free-range poultry sheds, ensuring the highest standards of bird welfare are consistently met while working to maximise egg production. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring bird health, behaviour, and housing conditions
  • Managing daily routines to optimise productivity
  • Overseeing essential practices such as biosecurity, hygiene, and vaccinations
  • Supporting flock changeovers, including both depopulation and repopulation
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting directly to the senior management team

This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a thorough understanding of poultry management, a strong sense of initiative, and a meticulous eye for detail. Leading a small, experienced team, you will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency while upholding welfare and production standards.

The Candidate:

The Package:

  • Salary: £35,000 – £50,000, depending on experience
  • On-site accommodation: A spacious 3-bedroom bungalow with most bills included (*electric and water not included)
  • 40 hours per week, Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday (7:15am – 4:00pm)
