About the Company: A long and well established contractor within the rail sector. Their success and reputation as the contractor of choice has been founded on some of the UK's biggest rail engineering and rail construction projects. Due to new project wins and ongoing long-term contracts, they are currently looking to recruit a permanent Estimator with demonstrable experience in the rail sector to join their friendly and successful bid team in the West Midlands.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of bid management processes, rail industry experience is essential, and a good understanding of rail related M&E or Telecoms services is desirable.
Estimator role requirements:
- Estimating rail infrastructure projects both line side and stations - ideally experienced in Mechanical & Electrical, Telecoms, CCTV, CIS or Signalling sectors.
- Tender surveys on rail and other infrastructure projects.
- Assisting with and managing tender deliverables.
- Liaising with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders during tender process.
- Managing and communicating mid tender updates.
- Arranging Director(s) pre-submission bid review meetings and arrange tender settlement meetings.
- Obtaining and communicating post tender de-briefing with customer.
- Ensuring handover process deliverables and arranging handover meetings with work delivery teams upon successful contract award.
