A world leading manufacturing company are looking to recruit a Production Supervisor based at their site in Witham. You will be working for a business who are the leading and go to engineering partner for all of today\’s innovation leaders within the power industry and will supervise a team of up to 30 staff. The ideal candidate will have a previous experience supervising staff within a production or industrial environment.
Duties:
- Responsible for production and any related issues ensuring environmental, health and safety standards are adhered to.
- Champion continual improvements and plan use of labour, material and equipment to maximise productivity.
- Motive and lead your team to ensure delivery performance objectives are achieved.
- Manage and coach the team including appraisals, absenteeism, holiday and skills matrix.
- Supervise changeovers and setups according to the production schedule.
- Ensure quality checks are carried out and quality standards are adhered to.
- Assist with investigating any customer complaints.
- Ensure all staff are maintaining good housekeeping.
- Work with the Manufacturing Engineering team on new projects.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of working in production or industrial environment at a supervisory level is essential.
- Must have good communication skills, be proactive and work in a collaborative manner.
- Must have good time management skills, able to prioritise tasks.
- Good leadership skills are essential.
- The ability to think strategically and deliver results is a must.
- Must be PC literate.
