A well known client of ours is expanding its presence in the Midlands, and they’re looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join the Birmingham team. If you’re passionate about delivering high‑quality infrastructure solutions and want to be part of a collaborative, forward‑thinking consultancy, this role offers the perfect platform to grow and make an impact. About You’ll work within our established civil engineering team, supporting the design and delivery of a wide range of projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed‑use sectors. From early‑stage feasibility through to detailed design and construction support, you’ll play a key role in shaping practical, sustainable engineering solutions. The role Producing civil engineering designs, drawings, and calculations for drainage, highways, earthworks, and infrastructure Preparing technical reports and supporting planning submissions, including Section 38/104/278 applications Working with industry‑standard software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, and AutoCAD Collaborating with clients, contractors, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams Supporting project delivery, ensuring work is completed to high technical standards and within deadlines Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting junior colleagues where appropriate What they’re looking for Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Experience within a consultancy environment (open to a range of experience levels) Strong understanding of UK design standards and approval processes Proactive approach to problem‑solving and communication Working toward professional accreditation (IEng/CEng) is advantageous Whats on offer Competitive salary and benefits package Hybrid working options Support for professional development and chartership A friendly, collaborative team environment Opportunities to work on diverse and technically interesting projects across the region
