About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school team. In this role, you will supervise and support classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged with the curriculum, follow instructions, and maintain good behaviour. You'll play a key part in creating a positive learning environment while ensuring the smooth running of lessons across a variety of subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support students during lessons, ensuring effective classroom management.
- Provide instructions left by the absent teacher and ensure students stay on task.
- Support students with their learning and provide guidance as necessary.
- Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
- Report any behavioural or academic concerns to the appropriate staff.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Adaptable and able to work across different subjects and age groups.
