We are currently working with a school based in Surrey, to start September 2025 on a full time basis.

Job Description

Lead the planning, delivery, assessment, and reporting of the KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculum to ensure sequential learning and ambition in pupil progress. Promote pupil engagement and achievement in Maths, driving initiatives to raise its profile and enjoyment across the school. Demonstrate subject expertise, innovative teaching, and close monitoring of pupil targets and progression. Provide updates on the effectiveness of the Maths curriculum to governors and external stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the school’s aims, ethos, and safeguarding policies.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons with clear intent, implementation, and impact.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress, producing termly updates and annual evaluations.
  • Promote Maths through assemblies, activities, and cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, pupils, and staff through professional communication.
  • Maintain discipline and a supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to school development planning and enrichment activities.

  • Keep accurate records in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
  • Engage in professional development to enhance teaching and pupil learning.

Pupils

Work with pupils aged 7-16 presenting a range of behavioural and emotional challenges due to early trauma. Tailor interventions to meet their unique needs, fostering trust and engagement in education.
