We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Lead to join a well-respected Tier 1 Main Contractor for a flagship education project in North Essex, near Braintree and Bishop's Stortford. This is a permanent on-site role with site setup works already underway. The project involves new build of a school on a green-belt site, on a 3-year phased handover programme, with a project value of £70m.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering education or school projects, and must demonstrate longevity in previous roles with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors. If you have a proven track record of managing large-scale builds and leading teams to deliver excellence, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Manage teams and stakeholders effectively, fostering collaboration across all levels.
  • Implement health, safety, and environmental procedures to maintain site compliance.
  • Proactively manage risks, budgets, and schedules to achieve project milestones.
Essential Requirements:
  • CSCS Black/White Card, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications.
  • Ideally MCIOB (Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building).
  • Proven track record delivering education or school projects, reflected clearly in your CV.
  • Enhanced DBS Clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and stakeholder management.
  • The chosen Project Manager should be located in the area within daily commute of site and be happy to work throughout the East Anglia region on future projects.
