Location: Purpose-Built Care Home in Moseley (B13)
Position: Full-time Waking Night Carer
Hours: Minimum of 33 hours per week (3 x 11-hour night shifts, 8pm – 8am, 1-hour unpaid break)
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Eligibility: Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in care. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Waking Night Carer to join our team in a purpose-built Care Home that provides 24-hour nursing care to 36 adults aged 30 and over with long-term care needs related to enduring functional mental illness.

As a Waking Night Carer, you will play a key role in supporting our residents overnight, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being during the night hours. This is a rewarding role where you’ll be able to develop strong relationships with residents, offering both personal and emotional support in a peaceful and structured environment.

Responsibilities:

Providing person-centred care to residents with enduring functional mental health needs.

*

Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents throughout the night.

*

Assisting with personal care needs, including toileting, dressing, and mobility.

*

Monitoring residents\’ conditions, reporting any changes to senior staff.

*

Promoting a supportive and positive environment for residents, respecting their dignity and choices.

*

Administering medications as required, in accordance with care plans.

*

Maintaining accurate records in line with the company’s policies and procedures.

What we’re looking for:

A minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a care setting, preferably with adults with mental health needs.

*

A caring and patient approach, with the ability to work independently during night shifts.

*

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

*

Flexibility and reliability to ensure continuity of care.

*

A willingness to undertake training and development to further enhance your skills.
