We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join a growing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of clients while playing a key part in the development and success of our team. As a senior member of the firm, you will not only lead and mentor your team but also be responsible for driving growth, managing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax advisory services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of your portfolio of clients, projects, and cases, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and efficient service delivery.
- Contribute to the planning and management of workflows, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are allocated effectively.
- Deliver on revenue and profitability targets by identifying opportunities to bring in new work and maintain strong client relationships.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, providing expert advice on personal tax matters and owner-managed businesses.
- Play an active role in developing team members, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster growth and enhance performance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Specialize in providing tax advisory services, particularly in personal tax and issues related to owner-managed businesses.
- Communicate with clients to address queries, resolve issues, and ensure their tax needs are fully met.
- Work closely with internal departments to meet deadlines, ensuring that client portfolios are managed effectively and HMRC deadlines are adhered to.
- Assist in managing the output of the department, ensuring quality, efficiency, and timeliness of deliverables.
- Monitor your own work utilization, productivity, and work-in-progress (WIP), ensuring targets are met.
- Provide leadership to junior team members, offering regular feedback, mentorship, and support to help them grow professionally.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in tax advisory services, ideally with a focus on personal tax and owner-managed businesses.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and develop talent.
- Excellent communication skills, both with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of clients and projects effectively.
- Results-driven with a track record of meeting revenue and profitability targets.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
