We are recruiting for an experienced Duty Operations Manager on behalf of a respected private coach operator in London. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a valid PCV licence, and hands-on transport experience.
Salary: £43,000 per year
Role Highlights:
- 5 on / 3 off shift pattern
- Supervising and managing a team of drivers
- Overseeing daily operations & responding to live issues
- Tracking vehicle locations and ensuring smooth services
- Stepping in to drive when required

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising driver shift handovers and performance
- Monitoring vehicle tracking systems & resolving real-time issues
- Ensuring drivers are briefed, uniformed, and compliant
- Managing minor investigations and handling driver queries
- Coordinating with engineering on maintenance & defect reports
- Carrying out compliance checks, including breath testing
- Maintaining operational records & reports
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing a team - ideally in a transport setting
- Valid PCV Licence (Essential)
- Operational knowledge of the coach or bus industry
- Ability to lead from the front & maintain high service standards
- Strong communication, problem-solving & organisational skills
- Confident using tracking systems & completing basic reports
