ABOUT THIS ROLE: Are you an experienced welder or fabricator who is interested in extending your range of skills and developing your career? If so, this role in an interesting, multi-disciplinary workshop is for you.
MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB: As Welder/Fabricator you will create a wide scope of sub-assemblies and parts in the manufacture of specialist industrial doors.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret drawings and diagrams.
- Metal fabrication and assembly.
- Operating machinery including cutting, drilling, bending, overhead cranes.
- Potential to operate a 6-metre brake press.
- Working to tolerances and quality finish set out in the documentation.
SKILLS/TRAINING:
- Experience in welding/fabrication.
- Demonstrate welding experience (MIG & TIG).
- Demonstrate attention to detail – fabrication.
- Machinery operation including cutting, welding, drilling etc.
- Operate as part of an effective team.
- Demonstrate drive and enthusiasm.
- Working to tolerances set out in the instructions.
- Work flexibly on assigned tasks.
- Demonstrate health and safety knowledge and discipline.
- Maintain equipment.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Willing to multitask and learn various skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE:
- Undertake training as required.
- Work safely and in accordance with company Health and Safety procedures and use of PPE.
- Make sure your work area(s) is kept clean and tidy at all times.
