Our client is a well-regarded company based in the Glasgow area, specialising in insurance repairs and property restoration. The company handles everything from damage caused by fire, flood, and storms, to accidental and malicious damage, offering reliable and high-quality repair services. In addition to insurance repairs, they provide a wide range of property maintenance and refurbishment solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

Due to continued success and expansion, they're looking for an experienced Insurance Surveyor to join their team. As an Insurance Surveyor, you'll be responsible for assessing property damage, preparing detailed reports, and helping clients navigate the insurance claims process. You will work closely with both clients and contractors to ensure repairs are completed to the highest standard, on time, and in line with the insurance requirements.

Your duties will include:

  • Inspecting properties to assess the extent of damage caused by events such as flooding, fire, or accidents
  • Preparing detailed reports and repair estimates for insurance claims
  • Working with insurance companies, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth communication and the timely completion of repairs
  • Ensuring all repair work meets industry standards and building regulations
  • Advising clients on the best course of action for repairs
  • Managing multiple claims at once, ensuring each project runs efficiently and stays on track

About you:

  • Previous experience as an Insurance Surveyor or in a similar role within the property repair or construction industry
  • A solid understanding of the insurance claims process and how to assess property damage accurately
  • Good knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact professionally with clients and contractors
  • A full UK driving license is essential for site visits
  • Experience in property maintenance or building services would be a bonus
