About Babington House

Situated in a Grade II-listed manor built in 1705, Babington House is surrounded by 18 acres of English countryside in the heart of Somerset. Just 30 minutes from Bath, it's the ultimate countryside escape for rest, relaxation and seasonal dining. With 33 bedrooms spread across Babington's historic buildings, Cabins and Lodges, the club features a formal dining space in the Orangery, serving a unique menu centred around seasonal and local produce. There’s also a cricket pitch and tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a gym and original Cowshed Spa.

The Role

We are seeking a number of experienced Runners to join our team at Babington House (BA11 3RW). Your main responsibility is to assist the waiting staff and make sure the member gets a superior experience. You will deliver food orders from the kitchen (or drinks orders from the bar) to members' tables, acting as a point of contact between the kitchen/bar and the floor. Other responsibilities include ensuring tables are set up for service.

  • 1-2 years' experience in a busy high-profile restaurant (preferred but not essential)

  • Flexible and available to working both opening and closing shifts when required

Expected working hours for a Runner:

Varying shift times across the seven days, to include working evenings, weekends, opens & closes. Average hours 32-45 hours per week.

Travel: Approx. 30 minutes from Bath, 50 minutes from Bristol & 10 mins from Frome (No local transport from Frome).
