Overview: Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Technician to join their team due to company growth and capex expansion.

Remit: Candidates MUST HAVE several years experience in setting, conditioning, maintenance and process optimization of injection moulding machines. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Injection Moulding Technician to secure a stable position with a forward-thinking company who are going through a substantial period of growth.
Role: As Injection Moulding Setter you will:
- Perform tool changes to conform with safe working practices and procedures.
- Assist the shift with operating the injection moulding machines, ancillary equipment and automated assembly machines.
- Perform quality control tasks according to cycle of control to ensure products conform to customer specifications taking full responsibility for accurate and timely checks.
- Perform competent and comprehensive preventative and technical maintenance of production lines including cleaning and lubrication of equipment and systems.
- Conduct breakdown repairs and reactive maintenance of automated assembly lines as well as packaging and palletisation equipment.
- Install new equipment/machinery and modify existing equipment.
- Operate and maintain material conveyance system (Motan) and chiller systems.
- Undertake troubleshooting and problem solving to tightly controlled and monitored standards with the ability to accurately document changes whilst adhering to quality standards.
- Engage in continuous improvement (Kaizen System) design, development and implementation of ideas.
- Be an ambassador for safe working practices and the business's clean as you go policy.
- Support intermittent stock takes as required by the business.
Experience Requirements:
- An industry recognised injection moulding qualification.
- Mechanical and electrical experience advantageous.
- Basic machine maintenance experience.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Ability to fault find to component level.
- Strong awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
- Awareness of quality and hygiene standards and their relevance in manufacturing.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Analytical with good computer skills.
- Willingness to develop personal skills and abilities in line with the company's route to progression.
- Flexibility to provide additional cover for holidays, absence, training etc.
- Be able to handle boxes of components and pallets up to 10kg in weight and in line with HSE guidelines on manual handling.
