A HVAC Engineer who will manage and maintain our heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) services and systems undertaking both reactive and planned works. Playing a pivotal part working within a small team, you will collaborate with the project delivery management team and liaise with various planners.

You will be responsible for installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on a range of HVAC equipment and ensuring they are completed efficiently and in line with health and safety standards and regulations. Mechanical knowledge and experience of working with air conditioning systems and refrigeration systems, troubleshooting installations as well as fault finding and repairs is essential.

The successful applicant will support the department’s on-call rota, at our offices in Stoke-on-Trent and other sites within the property portfolio. This would include any pre-planned works and responding to equipment issues. The starting salary for this position is competitive and we also offer a generous bonus scheme as well as many other employee benefits. Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Preferred skills and experience:
  • Proven track record in working with AC systems, AHU and refrigeration systems.
  • F-Gas Certification City & Guilds (2079) Cat 1.
  • CITB P&P Pipework and Brazing.
  • Awareness of risk assessment and working safely with electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, read and interpret technical diagrams whilst reporting technical information as required.
  • Experience of manufacturer’s certification.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office) with sound knowledge and understanding of ground and air source systems.
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence and CSCS Card is essential.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out maintenance routines.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults on a wide variety of plant including AC split systems/multi systems, AHU, refrigeration units, motors, pumps, compressors, fans, drives, ground and air source heating systems.
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety obligations are met and coordinated with the project delivery team.
  • Ensuring sites are maintained in a clean manner at all times.
  • Producing, managing and maintaining critical spares lists.
  • Supporting the wider maintenance team with general mechanical and plumbing work.
