Note: Previous experience working in residential development as either a Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor is essential for this role.

We are working with a well-established residential developer with a strong pipeline of new build residential projects across the South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of their schemes across West Sussex.

Reporting into a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key part in the day-to-day commercial management of live sites, with duties including:

  • Assisting in the valuation of variations and change control
  • Site measurements and record keeping
  • Preparing and processing subcontractor payments
  • Supporting with monthly cost reporting and forecasting
  • Attending site meetings and liaising with operational teams

You will be joining a close-knit team with a hands-on approach to training and development - ideal for someone looking to progress towards Quantity Surveyor level in a supportive environment.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 1-3 years' experience in a commercial role within construction (developer or contractor)
  • HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards)
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • A willingness to learn and get involved on site and in the office
  • UK driving licence
