Job Title: Mechanical Engineer / Fitter Location: Rochdale, Lancashire Salary: £36,300 per annum Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:15 AM – 4:15 PM Friday: 7:15 AM – 12:15 PM Contract Type: Permanent The Role: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Fitter to join our clients dynamic team. In this role, you will work in a shop-floor environment, primarily involved in building and fitting large machinery for the recycling and agricultural sectors. Key Responsibilities: Assemble and fit large-scale recycling and agricultural machinery. Interpret and work from detailed technical drawings. Meet tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail. Ensure the highest standards of quality in all work performed. The Candidate: To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Essential: Minimum of 5 years\’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer/Fitter. Fully time-served and qualified. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A strong team player with good communication skills. Desirable: Previous experience in the waste and recycling industry, particularly with baling machinery.
